GEA Cambodia successfully hosted the Study Abroad & Career Conference 2026, bringing together approximately 125 students and representatives from 26 universities and institutions worldwide.



Participating institutions represented a diverse range of study destinations, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, and China, providing students with valuable opportunities to explore their future academic and career pathways.



Welcome & Opening

The conference officially began with registration, networking, and opening remarks, setting the stage for an afternoon filled with insightful discussions, expert advice, and direct engagement with universities from around the world.



Industries & Jobs That Will Define 2030

One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion titled:

"Industries & Jobs That Will Define 2030: Green Energy, Finance, Cybersecurity & AI, and Healthcare"

Following a networking refreshment break, students attended an informative session by Mr. Reasmey Cheut, Australia Awards Ambassador 2024.


His presentation, "Scholarship 101: How to Secure Scholarships Abroad," offered practical guidance on scholarship applications, personal statements, interview preparation, and strategies for maximizing scholarship opportunities.



Beyond the Transcript: The Skills That Actually Get You the Job

Students also participated in a thought-provoking session focused on employability and career readiness. The discussion emphasized the importance of developing skills beyond academic results, including communication, critical thinking, leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.

These competencies are increasingly sought after by employers worldwide and play a crucial role in long-term career success.

Another highly anticipated panel discussion explored the question:

"Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, US or EU: Which Country is Right for Your Study and Career?"

University Booths & Student Consultation Sessions

Throughout the event, students actively engaged with university representatives during the University Booths and Student Consultation Sessions.



While listening to keynote presentations and panel discussions, students also had the opportunity to:

  • Discuss scholarship opportunities

  • Understand career pathways

  • Receive personalized study advice



The consultation area remained lively throughout the afternoon, reflecting the enthusiasm and determination of students seeking to achieve their educational goals.

To conclude the conference, participants enjoyed an exciting lucky draw session featuring attractive prizes and giveaways.



The event ended with a group photograph, capturing a memorable day of learning, inspiration, and connection between students, institutions, and industry professionals.
