As the Lantern Festival passes and the new year begins, the GEA 2026 Spring Expo officially launched in Changsha. While the early spring chill still lingered outdoors, the venue was filled with warmth and vibrant energy. New and familiar faces gathered, exchanging greetings in a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. At the registration desk, we prepared special New Year fortune slips featuring blessings such as “swift success,” “everything goes smoothly,” and “prosperous connections,” bringing good luck and positive energy to every attendee from the moment they arrived.

Amid shifting global dynamics, the international education sector is facing both new opportunities and challenges. Max, GEA’s U.S. Product Manager, delivered a keynote session titled “Breaking Through: The Current Landscape of Studying in the U.S.” Drawing on over a decade of industry experience, he used real-life case studies to provide an in-depth analysis of policy changes, application trends, and practical strategies for North American study pathways. Addressing key concerns such as “how to minimize application risks during sensitive periods” and “competitiveness of popular majors,” he offered clear, actionable solutions—helping counselors navigate uncertainties with confidence.

Following the session, participants actively engaged in discussions, sharing challenges from their daily work. Many were seen taking notes, exchanging ideas, and absorbing insights at full pace.

The event also featured four distinguished institutions, each presenting their latest programs:

🔥 Red River College (Canada)

As the only public polytechnic in Manitoba, Red River College is known for its high cost-effectiveness, strong industry-focused curriculum, over 85% local employment rate, and favorable provincial immigration pathways—making it an ideal choice for students from working families.

🔥 CATS Global Schools (UK & US)

With years of expertise in secondary education abroad, CATS offers premium campuses across the UK and the US. Through small class sizes, personalized support, and a holistic education approach, it provides a stable, safe, and structured pathway for students aged 13–19.

🔥 Sunway Education Group (Malaysia)

With “personalized pathways” at its core, Sunway designs tailored North American progression plans based on each student’s academic background, interests, and goals. Whether through direct entry, foundation programs, or credit transfer pathways, students are matched with the most suitable opportunities.

🔥 USC International Academy (USA)

Backed by the Top 30 University of Southern California, the academy integrates strengths in business, media, technology, and AI. It offers diverse programs including pathway courses, intensive English, and academic preparation.

We sincerely thank all partners and attendees for your trust and support. In the year ahead, GEA will continue to deepen its presence in international education—delivering more professional services, higher-quality resources, and stronger partnership support. Together, we will seize opportunities in a changing landscape and move forward toward new horizons.
