Day 2 Highlights | March 18

Day 2 of the conference unfolded as a full day of knowledge-sharing, meaningful exchanges, and vibrant energy. The morning began at 9:00 AM with a series of insightful keynote sessions, bringing together experts from across the global education landscape.

The sessions covered a wide range of forward-looking topics—from global education resources and student mobility pathways, to the latest developments in English language assessment, international campus models, and emerging study destinations. Speakers from leading organizations including Education New Zealand, Amity Global Institute, the British Council, and the Embassy of Ireland shared valuable perspectives on how institutions can better support students in an evolving global environment.

A key highlight of the morning was the discussion on Malaysia’s study landscape and visa processing, presented by representatives from EMGS, alongside sessions exploring the role of AI in shaping future education and the core competencies needed for the next generation of learners. The morning concluded with an engaging panel on “The Future Impact of the AI Era on International Education,” where industry leaders exchanged views on how technology is transforming the sector.

At noon, all 3,000 participants gathered outdoors for a memorable group photo. Despite the cool coastal breeze of Qingdao, the atmosphere remained lively and spirited—a true reflection of the unity and scale of this year’s conference.

Following the photo session, participants enjoyed a delightful lunch at Qingdao Haitian Hotel, featuring a hotel buffet that showcased a variety of Qingdao’s must-try local delicacies. It was a perfect moment for networking, casual conversations, and recharging before the afternoon sessions.

The conference resumed at 2:00 PM with another lineup of keynote speeches and presentations. Topics ranged from international undergraduate pathways and ASEAN education opportunities, to updates on TOEFL iBT, study destinations such as Dubai, and the role of high-quality English assessment in global talent development. The day also featured a panel discussion on “The Rise of Diversification in International Education,” highlighting how institutions are adapting to shifting student demands and global trends. Additional sessions explored market updates, transnational education strategies, and new approaches to student recruitment and conversion.

As the formal sessions concluded, the evening transitioned into a lively and engaging program. From 6:30 PM onwards, participants gathered to unwind and connect through a series of fun activities. A company-organized basketball match brought energy and excitement to the evening, while a professional cheerleading performance added a dynamic and festive touch—creating a joyful atmosphere that perfectly balanced the intensity of the day’s discussions.

Day 2 not only deepened industry insights but also strengthened connections—bringing the global education community closer together in both thought and spirit.
